The POE-24i is an advanced power supply / power inserter. The power supply is autoranging on the input and has a straight polarity regulated 24 volt output. Power is supplied on ethernet pins 4/5 (V+) and 7/8 (V-). It has overload and short circuit protection in addition to Ethernet surge suppression built-in. The POE-24i come complete with a standard North American 115VAC power cord. International cords are available upon request.

Description

The POE adapter gives "carrier class" performance in a low cost system.With its advanced auto-sensing algorithm it will supply power only to POE recognized end devices. This gives an added measure of protection against damaging equipment. The overload and short circuit protection will shut down power immediately when a short circuit is detected without any damage to the POE system. Typically in 100MB networks the maximum allowable CAT5 cable run is about 100 meters. This is not a limitation of the POE equipment but rather a limitation of the Ethernet standards.
